Mr. Ivan Filip Kovačević is an economist and public policy researcher. Having studied public policy at Johns Hopkins University, business management at the London School of Economics, and economics at the University of Belgrade, Mr. Kovačević focuses on the intersection between geopolitics and geoeconomics and has a particular interest in trade.
His education is backed by experience at Big4 firms (PwC and Deloitte) and at the Italian multinational Eni. His organizational skills developed through years spent with associations and projects, including serving as General Manager of the Johns Hopkins SAIS Europe Journal of Global Affairs and as Project Supervisor at the UN Association of Serbia.
Mr. Kovacevic joined NYIHSS in 2026 to serve as Secretary of the international journal Seminality, where he will coordinate the Editorial Board’s work, streamline publication output, and engage with stakeholders and potential contributors to further expand the Institute’s global outreach and multidisciplinary approach.
Mr. Kovacevic also becomes one of the first members of the Institute to expand its multidisciplinary endeavors by extending its reach into the economic sciences, the intersection of economics and other social sciences, and the study of the social impacts of public policies.
